Week 2 Reflection

It was really an interesting week full of information. This week I have spent time reading about some crucial issues that would help in designing a fancy project which of course is going to help and motivate students in their studying. So I have read about  "How to Write Clear Objectives" from Pennsylvania State University's Teaching and Learning office gives the basic overview of the ABCD model that we will be using. It is frankly the first time I have heard about this module and I found it very beneficial and I am planning to use not only in this course but in my planning for the lesson in the couples months and for next academic years. Though I  studied Bloom Taxonomy at University about 12 years age, this week refreshed my mind by the fables information that I have found about"Classifying Objectives" from the Innovative Technology Center at the University of Tennessee is a revised Bloom's Taxonomy. Make sure you think about writing learning objectives that address a range of skills on the hierarchy, as well as being observable. Also, I have read about different search engines and I admitted that the first time I have heard about these search engine. I though there were only " Google" and " Bing" but after reading and  looking  at the Web Searching Tech Tip for ideas about techniques for searching. I tried  some of the search engines or portals to see which ones work best for academic searches and for information for my class. Beside I tried different search engine I also read about others post in Nicenet and I discovered that other search engines are very useful especially in academic issues. I will recommended these web search engine for my students and fro other teachers in my school as well.

  2. Naif.
It is great to see that you too are using our knew knowledge with our students. I think that this is one of the objectives from this course to us the audience. To apply the readings and all the information in our groups, when I do it I really get surprised on how well they work.

  3. Hi, Naif!

I like your two isuues that mentioned here. I believe we have a very nice start to go through this 10-week course. Setting a right goal is all the time valuable in and out of classroom. After setting the objectives for the class, we are often stuck thinking that where can we get the right matieral for the class? We found very basic tools to teach right to the right setting. Please keep me posted whenver you found something new and beneficial!
